Whole house. If you have money for thousands of gals and thousands in stock you should at least buy something that will give return on investment when you sell and keep you in the A/C or Heat with working fridge when the sh*t hits the fan.

30KW Generac w/ ATS runs on propane.
The power goes out here a few times every year for a few hours or a few days.
You just never know.

You always got it together. I like your set ups, I like your take on fish keeping and filtration, and now I like your backup systems! Can you cook (wink)

According to my wife i'm a pretty good cook. :D
I like your setups too.

If you buy a backup generator I highly recommend Generac.
They pretty much have the home generator market cornered.
Buy more than you need and keep the loads under 80%. :)

BTW: MY wife "Dawn" originally set up this account but found this forum a bit to technical so I kinda took it over early on. Given the wide variety of non gender specific screen names on this forum I never bothered to change it.

Unfortunately I don't have natural gas in my area :(
And I don't know how much longer I'm staying in this house. They do have units that run off of propane.....

Probably would increase the value of the house a bit????? I might be able to take one off a foreclosure...................... :grinno:

We had part of a hurrican hit up our way and took power out for 24 hours. I had only lost one paddle fish i had. So i had picked up a generator and when i got home and everything hooked up the power came on. We had a few ice storms also thats knocked out power and i havent regretted buying it. I have way to much invested to lose any now.
