Do you have a predatory aggressive comm tank that whenever you look at it, something is always fighting and makes you wonder why the hell you have this kind of stock combination other than greed and compulsion, and you just hoping that some of them won't eventually get killed or eaten or commit suicide.

Bottom line, everytime you look at the tank it's stressful to you in a way of blood pressure going off the chart, not relaxing.

My tanks are relaxing but that's because I keep a community of hmmm...serene creatures such as yoyo loaches, severums, raphael catfish, goldfish, snails, etc. Living it up to the purpose of this hobby.;)

cichlid community and rbp tank

it stressful in a way when they fight i always think i have to get a bigger tank to lessen the aggresion

My version of stressful = changing water later today with buckets and wondering why I can't get any convict fry :(

peaceful . . . my tanks are cichlid tanks, and there is some occasional bickering, but nobody gets hurt; mostly just some gill-flaring and posing

generally speaking, whenever things have gotten out-of-hand in the past, it meant someone was going to get traded in at the LFS . . . I have had very few "murders" committed in my tanks . . .

hahahah i have a dovii anything that goes in the tank dies.....thats stressful spending all the money on a big tank and crao for it and can only house one fish

Why do you only offer your own opinions is such harsh ways towards predatory aggressive Fish.

Why not Give some examples of your super hippie Non-Stressful Fish tank.

Your only blowing things out of proportion on how or what you think the fish or people feel.

Your post does not seek the research of others, your post suggest you dont care about what others have to say and just want to impose your own personal views on others no matter what.

There is a difference between Pointless Stressful tanks, and Predatory tanks.

Here is a example of my Predatory tank,
Having two Oscars can be stressful. It can work, but sometimes you have to get more. As they will fight and one will become the boss and have total control over the other one.
Now, if you have 3 or more Oscars, its harder for one Fish to become the total boss, the fighting will be more spread out. that's why 3 Oscars seemed to work well for me.

Also size of the tank is very important, if I had all my fish in a 250g tank, yes fish would die and it would be very stressful. In my case it works, I have some fish that can get pissed off, but they all get along because they all hate each other. No one does any real damage to one another because they have loads of room to run around and hide, there is also enough Fish in the Tank to distract any chase that was going on so no one gets over bullied.

I love my predatory fish, it shows they have Brains and have to think Survive. I give them the room to become Territorial and they must hold there own ground, all my fish know there role and even though there pretty aggressive, everyone is pretty relaxed.

Only the strong Survive in my tank. That means no fish under 5 inch, no plants no snails or crabs or anything else that cant defend it self against a 22 in catfish, two clownknifes, 21in & 16in. 3 Oscars 10in, 2 Jack Dempsy 8in, Potamotrygon motoro Ray, disc 10in, Potamotrygon reticulatus Disc size 13 in, and black Aro, 15.5 in.

I don't have a tank full of piranha or nothing, this is just my tank and my example, I'm sure there are more aggressive tanks out there.

lol my most stressful setup is the pond. and it has nothing but peaceful fish in it.

but due to it being outside incremental weather/dust storms, debris, etc can cause a lot of stress.

while my 2 O's in my 125g are quite relaxing to watch. and my JD tank is also pretty relaxing.

For me stress comes more from fragile fish than from aggressive behavior.
