My version of stressful = changing water later today with buckets and wondering why I can't get any convict fry :(

thats wierd they breed so easily

my tank was stressful because i had a CL i knew i shouldnt have had, but now the CL is gone and the tank is more relaxing.

im not 100% sure what the OP is asking for..im a little tired right now and confused.

from what i get from it.. he wants to know if are setups stress us out or relax us??

is that right?

please someone correct me if im wrong..

anyways its about 50/50 with me..im always looking to improve something..but i do sometimes just sit on my couch and look at my tanks. watching my ray travel up and down the glass and dig is very tranquil IMO.

my planted community tank is kinda like watching a piece of the amazon in ur living room. its a overgrown jungle that has fish that make brief appearances then vanish into the brush. click the link in my signature and u will know what i mean..

TRUE AND TRUE!!
Its like im addicted to crack or something!
But really as far as stress due to watching , NO . I have an african cichlid tank that only really causes stress when they start pickin on the pleco. when they fight with each other or the barbs I relax. Its them doing what they do and being who they are. WHY I HAVE THEM!! as far as my smaller tropical comm tank, the only stress was when my girlfriend freaked out about the pregnant guppys and made me move them to the hospital tank. I think they miscarried and now she blames ME!! But i can stare at any of my tanks for hours and look away feeling almost high.

I have rbps which about 95 percent of the time do absolutely nothing. And when I say nothing I mean they don't even swim around they stay in exactly one spot. So I guess I have a peaceful predator tank?

Yes, I don't just mean the aggressive predatory tanks. I mean any tanks, including peaceful fish and specimen tanks, that do not relax you but cause you stress when you look at it or think about it.

True and True

But in general I prefer more peaceful setups as I don't enjoy watching my fish get the crap kicked out of them. I do keep cichlids so a bit of chasing and such is normal.
