Do you have unusual tankmates?

Rosey Red Minnow with 2 Ctenopomas (4-5"), EBJD (4") & Firemouth (4.5"). It started off miniscule (too small for even a feeder) several months ago and is now well over 3" and evidently a tankmate?

i always have the random silver minnow in my tanks, whenever we have left overs from fishing we throw them into the tanks and all got eaten except one who is now the luckiest bait fish in the world lol (this has happened with 2 different minnows in 2 different aggressive cichlid set ups)

I had Rams, Kribensis and convicts in with my Mbuna for about a year, the guy i got the Mbuna from gave them to me...i had nowhere to put them so i left them in there, i sold them on with the Mbuna...probably still alive now.

The Mbuna consisted of Demasonis and Aurauts amongst other nastys

I also kept a pair of Angels with a Oscar, Convicts, Jewels, Yellow Labs, Green Terror etc

My Cousin kept a Discus with Oscars, it did die 2 years on..probably from water quality.

what size tank and tankmates?

Aquarium size is 240 (8x2x2). Current stocking is 8 EBJDs, 3 threadfin acaras, and a bunch of baby blue (titanium) flowerhorns (and the big red texas of course). I am pretty sure the the titanium flowerhorns are going to have to go when they get bigger, but they are doing OK for now.

Up until about 4 years ago, my brother kept one of our 125 gal setups at his house. He had 2 Oscars, a JD, common pleco, 3 pictus cats, and a gold gourami. They had lived together for almost 4 years.
