trimac x midas but there are no 2 original flowerhorn is a generic name for a crap load of fish mixed together to look bad ass and be super humped out! i have seen trimac x festae that are called flowerhorn. make your own thats what im gonna do eventually when i have the resources. im gonna take my some what rare amphilophus sp. and croos him to a trimac and take there offspring to a midas and who knows what ill do from there be creative just make your own.

Yes well the shape and profile of the fish looks like a convict. Just look at how small the mouth is and look at how the stripes are arranged. I've never seen a FH look like this fish before.

Don't ask me, I'm no FH expert at all. The closest fish I ever had was a female Tri-mac. I believe like mentioned, FH's in general are mixed with all sorts of SA/CA cichlid species. I've never heard of mixing convict cichlids into the bloodline but hey, who knows. Either way, you still have a nice looking fish. :)

ok thanks i probably ask on the hybrid section.
 
It has some (maybe much) convict in it and you can be sure about that. About keeping the fish, I would rather keep that interesting looking fish(a big red convict) than a low grade FH.
