do you name fish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I got a 4" Fahaka called Clive, a 10" Sailfin Pleco called bert....a lobster called......larry....I think the bristle nose is sandra im not sure but the royal is definatly eddie, and yes my girlfriends named most of em!

i named my 3 cories (1 albino, 2 bronze)
jimmy(albino),
jabba and bob. the only problem is, i cant tell the difference between jabba and bob.

We have the "10-day" rule in our house. The kids are always anxious to name the new fish, but any new additions have to survive 10 days before they're allowed a name. Most names are transient, but a few have stuck, like our first pair of oscars Piggy and Nippy, and our current pair of oscars Tank and Tummy.

I have freckles, mystique, dexter, robin (batman had it out with one of my oscars and didn't make it....), jimjab whom my brother named and oink (one of my oscars-go figure!). The others have not aquired names as of yet......

Only two fish in the house that have names;

Royal pleco named Duke "as in Sir Duke, aka. Duke Ellington"

My wife named her betta Sparticus

:asianarow <<<< cross your eyes and pretend this emoticon is an ear of corn

My perch is now names willzyx......if you dont watch southpark you wont get that.

my lrg common plec is Elizabeth after elizabeth taylor because she eats anything that comes her way and my oscar is tatoo like in fantasy island but instead of boss boss de plane its omg omg de food.

I don't name fish... That's rediculous. My wife names them. That's Dogma.
:thumbsup:

I have worked in car dealerships all my life, so I name my fish after car salesmen because they have the funniest names. I have a GT names Brian McGuiness, a peacock named Gary Burkholder, a yellow lab named Chester Warren, a JD named Chuck Peters and I had to name my convict Babba Booie cuz his lips are so huge

You think those names are weird? I met a car salesman named Ray Strack, (sounds like race track). :grinyes:
