do you name fish?

i tried to name it until now i got so many fish that i got tired of it.
 
I've been meaning to name my fish, but never get around to it or spend enough time to remember the names i gave them :(
 
HAHA I love ATHF, but yea on the topic of naming fish. I have a hard time naming something that cant in any way respond to it. Guess if you yell it at em.
 
Certain fish, yes. The tetras and cories, no.

Electric eel: Pikachu
Mudskippers: Barbie and Ken
Motoro stingray: Stripe
Lima shovelnose cat: Shovelhead
Bichir (senegalus): SOS
Epaulette shark: Sweetheart
Dragon moray eel: Ed
Brackish moray eels: Nip and Tuck
Male frontosa: Big Blue
Lionfish: Mare
Marine Frogfish: Stone
Fly River Turtle: Piggie
African lungfish: Puppy
RBP: Red Dragon, Hannibal, Tooth Fairy
Marine Moray Eel: Eel
 
everytime i name fish they die , my gf named my clown knife "hog Jaws" because he ate so much , first he had his eyes bitten by a bicher , then when i moved he died r.i.p my hog jaws

I used to give 'em names. but I stopped, cuz it's harder to give 'em away or trade. i wanted to make room in my 125 gal cichlid tank, and we couldn't cuz if they're named they're part of the family :D most of my fish are named after my volleyball players.

I name fish that have personality, I think it is healthy for people to name their fish. It shows compasion in the hobby. Remember fish are pets not nuggets, and not giving them a name would be like not giveing your dog or cat a name. There are some fish that are more decorative then pets. Tetra and fish that are Hetereomorphs (I beleive i'm useing the term the right way... Look the same for both sexes)

At one stage we had a tank full of fishy friends with amusing names. Then they all died in a horrible plague and since then I rarely name my fish, with the exception of my special friend the clown knife who is called Savage Sam due to his ferocious feeding frenzies.
