Do you name your fish?

The name fits him perfectly. Although he's only an inch big he acts like a big tough fish, attacking everything that comes in his tank.

I've named many of my fish. My albino corys are Larry, Moe, Curly and Lucille (she's named after BB King's guitar). My yoyo loaches are Rapper and SnailZap. My honey gouramis were Frick (male) and Frack (female) -- both now r.i.p. Clown pleco is Oliver, and the otos are Otto, Oscar and Odelie. Even my snails (except for the MTS) get names: Gary, Bob, Alicia, Mortimer and Leopold. I don't name the tetras -- too many and too fast.

I don't really name my fish but my family does. My dad named my betta "rupert".

i have named my fish but the names never actually stick...only ones that have stuck were, an albino oscar named ozzy and a pink convict named OJ...otherwise i just abreviate the names like Geophagus Iporangensis's i just call Geo's and senegal bichir i call bichir

Depending on the time of year, my fish number from a couple of thousand to the tens of thousands. So, naming the fish would be an act of futility.

I only name the feeders and their names are, ..."Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, ..."

My 13 inch red devil is named Carl and the convict feeder I threw in the tank in early December who by some miracle is still alive having survived a month in the 75, a day in a 20 with Carl when I moved the tank, an hour car ride in the same bucket as Carl, and who is still currently living in the 75 with him is named skeeter haha
