Do you over react when it come to your fishes?

I had person show my fish YouTube videos on his iPhone luckily my fishes wasn't scare and was curious
about the whole thing. Good thing I didn't have to break my foot in his ass. The dude was on something.

Has anyone had a friend or relative with kids. And every time they come over, they tell the kids to go play with the fish? Like if it was a dog.

I had my tanks between the living room and the kitchen so I'm pretty much sure the only activity within the sight of my fish were people walking inside the house, but when we do have visitors within the house, with my fish being a poly, they just usually hide out when they got the 'get the "tap" here', well I'm planning to have a sign, just look and enjoy, no touching, you won't feel comfortable if I touch you. (it's just awkward right?)

I tought (well im trying) my kids not to knock on the tank..it works for now :P and about visitors - they are so damn curious because they never saw fishes like that (guppies and goldies in their lifes) and knocks on tank side..since then i have a hammer in pocket to break those sticky fingers :)

I just tell people "DONT TAP ON THE TANKS, IT STARTLES & SCARES FISH. WOULD YOU LIKE HAVING YOUR EARS BANGED ON? That's how fish feel."
I manually show kids how to trace their finger evenly along the tanks that bolder chasing fish are in. NO taps. that is more fun and kids are compliant. even my 2 yr old g grandson does it right. lots of smiles & giggles.
Minding directives is not optional with my animals.
Don't have much problem if firm.

The worse thing for me is parent siting their bad ass be-be kids in front of my tank and first thing they do is start taping and touching the glass than follow the fishes back and forth the tank at the end your fishes is scared and the glass is dirty.

I have a niece that once poured coke into my tank. "fishy like coke!" Never letting her in my room again.....

yeah I overreact a lot when it comes to my tank. I have 3 spiny eels and they are crazy curious. Whenever I have guests around they look at the tank which is ok but then they tap and touch the glass. Once, my niece opened the feeding panal and my smallest spiny which is my
M.Armatus almost jumped out! I was beyond pissed as she then proceeded to pour orange juice into the tank.:banghead::banghead::banghead::what::screwy::sly::confused:
