Do you store your dead fish in the freezer?

i really enjoy my live aquarium fish, but once they cease to breathe, stop swimming and flop over on their sides, they are TRASH!!! LOL...

When my bichir jumped out, it wasn't found for a week. At that point, it was quite dry and for some reason, my father urged me to keep it.

Anyway, it's been sitting atop my bookshelf for a while now. In fact, I had almost forgotten about it, despite the fact that it was a cool fish.

I do so i can return them

me too....I don't live very close to the pet store. So if the fish dies within a couple days I can return it for an exchange or refund. The freezer keeps it from smelling and become unrecognizable until I get a chance to drive to the pet store :nilly:

i dont freeze em
i bury them make sure no cats and dogs can dig emby piling some rocks or heavy objetcs then after a few months i dig em up and i got myself a whole skeletonized fish which i dry in the roof for a few weeks and on to a frame

preserving dead pets just isn't my thing in general.. granted, they're beautiful in a different way than say, a dog, but it still just gives me the willies. With hunting mounts, you didn't have any sort of attachment to that animal other than the tasty steaks you made last night... when its your pet, i feel like every time i looked i'd just feel bad that it wasn't still alive.

Very nice words but that avatar does no do you any justice..:nilly::ROFL:
