Do you think African Arowanas are ugly?

When I have guests over (especially girls), most of them say my African Aro looks ugly/scary and looks like a snake or eel. I think he looks pretty tight though and he's one of my favorite fish. What do you think about African Aros? I thought about selling mine for awhile because only my friends who have monster fish think he looks cool. Have you ever sold a fish because your guests told you it was ugly?

You need to understand that most Asian, especially Asian girl have a phobia with snake or eel, so it's normal if they think your African aro is ugly... It's ok, as long as they love YOUR snake/eel, and don't think that one is ugly! :naughty:

african arowana are amazing most people that dont keep fish think there ugly but it matter only the keeper like it or not. i would keep it

My African Aro, I've grown it since birth it about 9inch now. Look like a snake or ell with 2 nuts. Asian chick go crazy over it.

other people's opinion of your fish should never matter...so long as you like it. Who cares if people thinks that your fishes are ugly ?
I've people telling me my fishes are gross or that I've weird taste...my answer : I like.
 
i rather get jardini cause its more of an asian arowana :D

also like silver better than the african too, just because! hahah
