Do You Think Bichirs are Dumb?

I don't think bichirs are dumb
I think they are one of the most sensitive and intuitive fishes around, especially senegals.

I have seen my senegal catch platies to feed my FRT before -_-"
I know this sounds really hard to believe but that is what I have seen before

And a friend shared an amazing story of how 2 of his Senegals stopped another fish from choking to death on a feeder by helping it dislodge the fish. He told me he doesn't expect anyone to believe him because even though he saw it happening, he couldn't believe his eyes
 
in my opinion they are one of the smartest,interesting,and incredible fishes in the world!
Its like having dinosaurs in your home.
 
my girlfriend and my mom think their dumb and ugly..i do get annoyed watching them eat sometimes..but its kinda cute..they remind me of MR.Magoo..i like watching them swim, their like dragons!!! i still don see mine catching any feeders any time soon... lol
 
If I would rate its smartness form 1 to 10 I would give it a 6. Just a Little above average since thew were able to live in this world for millions of years. You've got to give them credit for that.

My 4 inch senegal is like an assasin! he was bought as a gift by my wife so he had to spend time in my community tank. in less than 6 weeks, he managed to eat about 4 platies, a danio, and 2 chinese algae eaters. not to mention if i put a live ghost shrimp in he tank, its gone in 15 minutes.

I think the question is rather dumb
 
its probably been covered in the above comments but they probably have extremely poor eyesight, i have a weather loach like what you described. i think its almost blind it takes forever compared to the other fish but it has the edge if i feed at night
