De-venom poisonous snakes?Think about it and reply

I don't agree with it. Personally, I don't understand why some people need to have venomous snakes for pets. It's like playing with a loaded gun. It's not if you get bit but when. I can understand if it's for research purpose or that you have many years of experience with snakes. But many people I hear just want the bragging rights to say "Dude, my snake is poisonous." :screwy:

But back to the question, from what I understand, you risk an infection from the procedure and most snakes have the ability to regrow their venom sacks and fangs back. Plus it's really not fair to the snake. Just my 2 cents. Flame away!

Its the same as saying, should we remove your dogs teeth because they pose a problem to small children? No one would ever dare to perform that. But on a snake, I think its plain cruel. Taking away its natural form of defence and attack isnt good. Leave those snakes in the wild and zoo's.

I am against venomoids, not because of cruelty, but because it support a black-market filled with morons that do backyard animal surgery that is uncertified, and almost all of them are done by people that don't know what they are doing. They leave tissues behind that allow the duct or gland to regrow. If they end up tying the duct, then eventually the duct will explode and you still have a venomous on your hand.

Venomoids? It just a ticking time-bomb for their owners.

Any goofball dumb enough to keep hots will whats comin' to him. Karma baby!

You know if we removed even half the dangerous body parts out there... there would be hoofless horses, toothless dogs and cats (heck we already remove their claws and privates), and beakless birds. Humans just have some retarded desire to eliminate anything remotely painful from the face of the earth. Dude, They have these parts for a reason! Look what apposable thumbs have done to help us screw up the world! You dont see people amputating their own thumbs, do ya?

The only thing remotely close to this I approve of is stingray tail clipping, thats about it.

dont agree with stingray tail clipping niether. thats THEIR method of defence as is for the hots. no difference, bar a license perhaps.

Why tail-clipping for stingrays? They are not aggressive or defensive. You can still interact with them with their barbs left intact.
