Gosh, you're welcome. Yes they get to be like our kids whether if you raise them since they were little minnows or take them on full grown, they still our kids. It's not just that we care for them, we care about them.
I have monster fish, but I have regular fish too. Uh oh, I said it. I have some tiny baby platies. You know you can't keep this species with their parents. I'll skip over why. Let's just say there is a pretty good chance they wouldn't make good parents. So I am it. They come running over (ahem swimming over that is) when I come by. They already know where the good stuff comes from. After feedings they float there looking at me like; Gee, are we going to be that big when we grow up? Pretty goofy the way they look it me--but cute.
