try using a needle to poke gently at the broken nerve spot that would trigger growth on the jardini if the barbel is not broken to the root , have tried that before and lastly a unproven as i have not tried it is to keep the jardini in a close n dare tank environiment this would trigger more used of the barbel as sensor and trigger growth in the barbel faster.
