  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
usualy people in the LFS where I go just kill them straight away when a batch of live rock/corals come in, they are no good sure they are a hot little critter but when you sell them, people think, of so cute etc... but they are WAY more trouble then they are worth!

But yeah, they are hella cute.

:)

i just cant find this vid. ive seen it before. or at least one. its awesome. imagine that vid of when the kid breaks his tank, but because a mantis shrimp has just smashed it

"Yet still, it is but a miniscule fraction of the force that a Chuck Norris roundhouse kick can deliver, pound for pound. We may never know, though, because nobody has dared to try to place Chuck in an aquarium."

thaught i would post sence i have a small mantis(3" N, wenn)first most stuff about mantis shrimp is way off i have my 3" in a standard 2.5 and there is no way it could brake the glass(and he tries quite a bit)it takes him up to 20minuts just to get through a snail/hermit crab shell, most mantises that brake a tank are 6"+ peacocks but at that size they can brake a regular 10g pretty easy when piss## off, if you can find one they are quite easy to look after and undemanding, but most of the time they will be hidden in the live rock and just come out when hungery some will come out more and explore there tank than others(mine likes to sit and watch me at the computor witch is kinda creapy)it just comes down to the type and indivigual mantis, i think there a realy cool animal and seem quite inteligent(and i know theres some spelling mistakes because i typed in a hury:D )
