does anyone keep “mudfish” ?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
they seem to do okay with eachother but of course hes been nipped. ive never seen it happen though this could be because puffers can see pretty far outside their tank so he might become docile. im pretty unsure whether to remove him.

whats the tank size?
its just a 10. i was gonna move him to the “community tank” which i may be using that term a little too liberally once he gets bigger supposedly they can hit 9”. but that tank still has fish like juvenile starry nights and a gt so im not sure itd be better.

ah mk im not a pro at these stuff so any additional info someone smarter will budge in and tell. oh and GL and keeping the fish

I saw those on the same video. Very cool looking.

I would suggest trying some different small live foods like daphnia and brine shrimp. If it eats those you can hopefully wean it onto the frozen versions.

Also if you haven't already, it's definitely worth treating it for internal parasites. Those are often a problem with wild caught fish. Puffers are notorious for having worms as well so it might have caught something from its tank mates.

puffer was dewormed and ive been considering doing garlic guard. and im concerned id end up with dead brine if they dont get eaten. lfs doesnt sell anything else could try culturing emphasoria though. pretty sure he eats bloodworms hard to tell though. pretty sure he will atleast peck at the shrimp my puffer kills.

also the tank might have tb not really sure.
