I may have some tank real estate available soon and I've been considering trying my hand at keeping mudskippers for quite some time now....any first hand accounts or tips on keeping them would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

I agree with P phreeflow they require a humid environment and males are territorial if I remember right. Also certain species may require brackish water.

Check out Zenzo at Tazawa Tanks, he keeps Indian and, I think, African Mudskippers. He has a couple of good Youtube videos on them.

I kept them years ago. I believe they were sold as Indian. I had a lot less fish knowledge than I do now, and they did very well. I am amazed at how easy they were. They were so much fun to watch hop around and roll over. I gave them crickets as a treat, and they would pounce on them. They ate pretty much whatever I gave them. They did prefer it to move though. Pellets moving on the surface of the water always did well. They would eat ghost shrimp as well. I have considered doing a big tank with them again. With 3D printing you could make an awesome environment with streams running through the tank and having settling pools throughout. A great DIY tank would be a 4'x4' liner with an island and mangroves in the middle but I probably won't ever do that in reality.

I have enjoyed a lot of fish over the years but the fish have enjoyed the most were mudskippers, oscars, and archers.

Check out the comments from dave wilson on the second one. Well renowned bloke from the NT who keeps and breeds countless natives.

Dammit, I knew I shouldn’t have opened this. Now the seed is planted for me to try mudskippers
