Does anyone know what this is and how to treat it?

Looks like an injury, bad water usually affects both eyes. Had a redbay snook with the same type injury, just kept in pristine water and it healed up to 99%, left just a pinhead sized scar.

Okay thanks. I did a water change a couple days ago, but I'll go do another one now, just for good measure. :)

Yeah the snook was in my overcrowded SA/CA tank so she was removed to a hospital tank and got daily 50% w/cs. Not sure if that was necessary though, seemed like it cleared in a few days so I never medicated.

being as the eye protrudes slightly, any flat surface could have been the culprit. i say the slate because it is right by where the fry are, and the fish are guarding the fry. plus, the slate has a rough surface to abrade the eye.

Yeah I actually changed my mind and just transferred the angels and fry into the 36 gallon; it's been cycled since Thursday night, and I was going to move them anyway, so I figured I may as well do it tonight so I'd be able to do more wc's.

Oh that's a good point, I didn't think about the possibility of abrasion. Thanks for the help. :)
