I miss my pinnatus bat, he loved me and I miss my lionfish, but salt is toooooo much work and destructive
Does anyone miss thier saltwar tanks?

i miss my saltwater tank! sure i still have it but its got nothing decent it in now just a bunch of dumb ole damsels and a clown. the entire stocklist of my tank isn't hardly wort $30. i used to have some great stuff but if you don't know what your doing saltwater really digs you a deep hole.

I miss my pipefish, a purple tang, and oddly enough my pair of perculas. and I miss the money i dumped into it. never got overly heavy into the "reef" aspect of things though i did have some inverts, and mushrooms. Taking care of the more sensetive stuff at work turned me off from most the other stuff.
Someday I'de like to get a trigger. They really are imo true "monsters" Some more then others, and very intelligent. as previousely stated. Can't say i'de go crazy on the set-up either. I'de love to have pipes again too.. but 3-5 feedings a day just isn't reasonable atm.
And the more captive breeding, captive propigation i see the more likely eventually I'll dabble in SW again.

converted my 135g from SW to FW, i missed it even before i converted it but truth is i didnt have the time due to my rescue org. but FW can be made fun with the right fish
I miss having more than one SW tank .... i use to have 7 SW tanks. I had 13 triggers at one time , and yea i really miss some of them. But then i started to miss FW and decided to convert my 180 to freshwater , i still have my 210 and my 5 ( almost 6) foot green moray 
. He and the little buggers tear around the tank and my bumblebee is growing really fast! i cant wait till i build him a 4,000 gallon tank. My goal for fish keeping right now is to keep my grouper till he dies .... 8 feet 1,200 pounds ..... lol. I think theres always room for SW. All you people who say that SW is to hard , i find my SW tank easier than my FW.... instead of weekly water changes , i do monthly... I feed all fresh food , just bust out the fish fillets out of the fridge and octapus.. I find because FW stuff is so much cheaper and you always want to add more i spend more money than on my SW tank. Bulk orders of salt , from ebay make it very cheap for WC too.

Dealing with the salt was such a pain. But The triggers and the groupers, I miss them so much! Maybe one day a nice little trigger tank for a single fish...

you dont need a protien skimmer .... but drfostersmith has a 32 dollar protien skimmer that i highly recomend for the price i use it on a 75 gallon
