Dealing with the salt was such a pain. But The triggers and the groupers, I miss them so much! Maybe one day a nice little trigger tank for a single fish...

maybe sooner than later.....

Do you think i need a protien skimmer.
you dont need one, but i recommend one it will make water changes alot more bearable.

what would it do with the wc?

protien skimmers make me angry with wc's, due to the fact everytime your water level changes you have to adjust the skimmer.

Boy, alot of people have misconceptions about marine tanks. A marine tank is no more complex than a fw tank, doesn't need anymore support equipment. The only difference is salt. It is only if you start into having lots of live rock and invertebrates and corals and stuff that you need more support equipment. I kept a 10 gallon native goby tank for years with undergravel filtration powered by an air pump. Worked great, they even spawned, but I never tried to rear the larvae, as the full grown fish are like an inch long.
But, lets not high jack this thread, lets keep it on the op's question. If you have questions about SW, check the SW forum, or PM me.

I wouldn't say it was hard to keep, but I've always felt more comfortable with fresh. Having said that, like i've stated, I truely miss the having a salt water tank! I think i will set one up again.
