i swim for my high school and this is gonna be my 2nd year swimming (im a sophomore, started last year). does anyone remember their times, and can anyone give me pointers?

going for air is a waste of time. just hold your breath the entire swim and you will get a better time. also dolphin kick very hard

i can do a 25free sprint without breathing, and i can swim a 50free breathing every 4 or 6 strokes, and in the 100free i breathe every 4 strokes.

do a lot of deep breaths before you start

Steroids.

ive heard that before, wasnt sure if it was true. thanks :)

i would do that for about 2 minutes and man i could get a lot more distance than i usually could. Your pretty much super oxygenating your blood.

Hi Plec123, i have been swimming since i was 6, i am now 13, for a 25 Meter lap it took me 16.4secs, i had a friend that did it in 12 seconds or so. Like said before, don't bother going for air, as this slows you down esp. if it is only 1-2 laps. If you are doing a double or more lap than do flip turns, this allows you to quickly flip and kick against the wall to save time and propel yourself the other way. The only way to succeed is to fail

^uhhh, failing to swim is kinda like death dude.
