Does illinois suck ?

I live in illinois and I really don't like it at all. Im only 20 I was born and raised here. I have this idea that if I just get out of here I will be much happier. i guess my question is do people feel like this any where they live when they get to the age? Or is it just illinois.

It's the Midwest. It is what it is. It's definitely not the beach. Of course, we don't get hurricanes. I like the Midwest, but would probably move to the Southwest if I wasn't rooted to Indiana by family.

IL is the worst state in the country. Most violent, Toughest (And stupidest) gun laws, most corruption, Higest taxes, worst roads, Yeah it pretty much sucks.

Too bad we have a decent base for technical jobs otherwise I would have been gone years ago.

The grass isn't as green as it looks on the other side. I'm an hour outside of Chicago, my fiance and I move to Rhode Island about 4 years back. We lived there two and then moved back to IL.

Illinois isn't great, but there will be things you don't like no matter where you live.
 
I use a scanner app on my phone nightly, the #1 city listened to is chicago.
Try it, download a free scanner and listen to other cities and give chi town a try.
There's a reason its #1 for a title no 1 would want.
