Does illinois suck ?

It is whatever you make of it. I live in Chicago, not in the surrounding suburbs, and yes it sucks but it could be worse. I think anywhere you go there will be good and bad **%^&*" to deal with. At least this is home...

I have family in Illinois and my mom used to live there. I don't mind visiting but I would never want to live there. I have a lot of friends who move to other places in their 20s so it might be an age thing. I would never leave my state and never have waned to, I love it where I live. If you want to move away, give it a try. Some people do like it where they move to. Its better to try it out now before you find someone and end up tied down by that and then by family. If you do decide to move though think of what you really want our of where you are gong to live and really think about it, then move. Don't just move to some random place on a whim.

After spending the past fifteen years bouncing all over the country, I can honestly say that Illinois is one of my least favorite states. You couldn't pay me to willingly live there.

IL is the worst state in the country. Most violent, Toughest (And stupidest) gun laws, most corruption, Higest taxes, worst roads, Yeah it pretty much sucks.

Too bad we have a decent base for technical jobs otherwise I would have been gone years ago.

yup all happened in Chicago, everything above I80 should be its own state, like i said earlier 95% of Illinois problems are because of Chicago.
