Does illinois suck ?

+1. May not be the best of places...but it is home to me. I couldn't see myself anywhere else.

I hear that the state is much better ever since that guy moved to the white house 4 years ago. Some of the pollution is gone. LOL!
On a serious note, if the OP is young and single, the world is your oyster. Take a chance and relocate. The worse that can happen is you don't like the new place that you moved to, so you just move back to where you started from (just click your heels and say "There's no place like home").

Yeah I agree Chicago needs to be it's own state, then Illinois will be the best state ever to live in
95% of Illinois problems is because of Chicago

I was born and raised in Illinois. I wanted out so bad. Joined the army and moved away for 12yrs. Now after living overseas and all across the country in can't wait to move back.
Every place has its drawbacks but it is home for me and the grass really is not always greener on the other side.

Seeing as how I'm from Wisconsin I will agree with you that Illinois sucks-mostly cause it's full of FIB's, but on the other hand I live in Iowa right now and that's horrible too.

You're in CR right? I would never live there. In all reality it sucks everywhere but in the Midwest a lot of things are cheaper here than they would be out east or west.
