Does this look like to much rock ??

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Tank looks great me to. I really like that look

Also extra filtration is great but I would say get a power head first and try that out if the filtration is good enough in the tank.

Thank you :) ...well right now it's just running on an emperor 400 you guys think that would be sufficient for a saltwater tank???

I set my first one up too. second hand so i got an instant cycle. My friend said the more live rock you have the better off you are, so you cant be in any danger I guess...
DO you have pis of your set-up ??

it will get really crowded if you choose most fish, unless nano type fish. you could always put a cheap sump and mag pump to free up some space. koralia magnums are great for circulation.

^ Tank looks good. I always liked the pajama cardinals and bangai cardinals. The Koralia circulation powerheads are great for tanks like this too. There is also some nice yellow damsels if you want some color in there and a low maintenance fish. Once it's established a bit you can always add some hermit crabs or shrimp too.

it's not too much if you like it. I've completely filled a 55 with lavarock for my african cichlid tank. the rock was stacked a bit looser than yours to allow as many passages as possible. it was a cool tank.
plus, a lot of cover like that allows more of the smaller life to survive.
