Does this look like to much rock ??

Looks nice. A few small colorful fish would look great. Don't get anything too big as the tank isn't that big and the rock would inhibit large areas to swim.

I have 50lbs of regular rock (freshwater) in my 20gal. It is a lot but it provides a lot of hiding places as well.

Forget about the FX 5 it will become a nitrate factory, as will you Emperor. Your live rock and sand should be your only biological filter. Invest in a couple Koralia powerheads and a HOB skimmer made by Eshopps or Reef Octopus. In the long run you'll be glad you did.

So I ended up getting Reaction 4-Stage Canister Filters because of its uv light and great space for media . But I don't understand what you mean by it will become a nitrate factory isn't it supposed to clean the tank lol ...next up to purchase is a remora pro hob protein skimmer pics coming soon ...

Update on My Tank : so my tank is going through new tank syndrome (i guess) and im having a few problems . 1) my turbo snail are dying after the 2nd week 4 out of 10 died . 2) as seen in the picture below i have an algae out break even after putting in my new Reaction 4-Stage Canister Filters by jbj and adding
Boyd Enterprises Grande Chemi-Pure . Has anyone experienced this or have some advice ???


by the way i do a 10 gallon water change once a week and test my water weekly and have had no bad result on tests ..
