Is this how strong the outlet is?

No way is that normal! I think your fx5 needs a GOOD CLEAN! Also if your using the polishing pads White/blue remove them as they are worthless! Make sure the sponges/media are rinsed out, give the hosing a good clean, also clean the impeller and you should be good to go! I think after this you will see a big difference in flow/output.

yeah, an FX5 should be flowing much stronger than that!

That's what happened to one of mine when I put too thick of a filter pad in one of the trays. Something's blocking it. It may need cleaned, there may be way too much media, a hose may be kinked or you may not have the open/shut valves all the way open.

Thanks, I thought so... its my first FX5 and I got it used... I get microbubbles after about a day... and I clean it out (Rinse all media and blue pads) once a week. As the week comes closer it slows down on the GPH

Thanks, will do tonight

So I should toss the blue pads out? Dont use any filter pads?

i agree with puntoturbo, the polishing pads are totally useless!! when i took my baskets out the water stayed inside, like it was water tight.
