Does this tank stand scare you too?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
... i guess i will get flamed now ...
i have a 30 set up on a stand that is smaller. it overhangs about 3" on both sides.
it has been that way for as long as i have had it ... maybe 9 months, and the people i bought it from had it setup for over a year that way.
knock on wood, but it is doing fine.
it is my tank that i use for keeping excess feeders until my other tanks get hungry. it is nothing special, but no problems

:irked: *** if anything happens to this tank in the next few days, rest assured i WILL blame it on this site, and not the stand!!! ***:irked:

its like a tv stand lol

:jaw:I would have a heart attack if I knew someone with a setup like this. First of all.. I think its hillarrrrrious with the music hahaha it reminds me of a video I found on youtube called "Loach crazy train" I think. He has Ozzys song crazy train to a bunch of clown loaches swimmin around hahahaha. Any ways, I had a 55g on a dresser once... yea that was a bad idea. tank failure=8k dollars in damage on the house (it was upstairs) Hope that holds it sure looks crazy. Not sure why you would even do that it doesnt look good. Looks like you didnt have enough money to buy a big enough stand. Im pretty sure that is a tv stand haha. I have three of my tanks on the floor, I dont want them to look like this ekk.. Nice tank but sad setup

ID on fish 23-26 secs into it pls???
Nevermind
Now i see it, "LD Shark" i googled it and cant find it but, what does "LD" meen?

I'd be more concerned about the stand failing than the tank. If he hasn't structurally reinforced it, it may eventually come crashing down! Why take the chance?

seems like an awful big risk to be taking. i mean, you spend all of that money on the tank, the equipment, the decorations and the fish. then you cheap out on the stand? for $100 or less you could have an actual tank stand that you wouldn't have to worry about. it might be fine, but why would someone take the chance? i wouldn't do it.
