Does this ugly FH have potential?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I would pass for now. By flowerhorn standards, yes it is ugly. But I personally don't mind low quality ones with the green base that look very close to Trimac. If it wasn't for the possible HITH I would like her more.

For starters I wouldn't attempt to house a Flowerhorn in your 55 gallon with what you currently have in it. I could see it possibly working out if the tank was a female Parrot and the FH was a Bonsai and they were paired. What does you dads tank have in it?

Once again, that is a pic I found on the Internet that is similar to the one at my lfs lol. the guy there said its a female so I'm not going to get it because I want a pair. My dads tank has a male bp but it's paired with another so that won't work, but if I where to get it anyway I think it would work. heres my dads stock 2 bp's 2 geophagus 3 severums 1 convict 1 Hrp < I think... 3 silver dollars 1 uaru 1 kissing gourami 3 red tailed sharks and 1 bristlenose pleco.

Well in the event you need to move fish from your tank to his that is at least doable. If you really want to try to get a pair I would look for a male SB Flowerhorn. Would be much easier to pair that with a BP in a 55 than a normal male Flowerhorn.

Heres my old pair, male was an egg eater so I got rid of him. He was paired with the female and they did fairly well together even outside spawning.
