Does your Wal-Mart sell AR-15s?

ya theres not something right about it, its a bushmaster lol.
If your looking in the 600-700 price range go with a dpms you can get a basic model for about that price and much better quality.
 
I really liked bushmaster at one time. Never owned a dpms panther but they are reasonably priced. I like my armalite. Next one I get I'm building myself but I want a .308 and I really want a .40 upper also.
 
I had a DPMS at one point, when i was in highschool, but ended up selling it to pay the bills when i was with my ex....shoulda kept the rifle and lost her lmao.

I've never owned a bushmaster, but i have shot them and they just seem to have that "gonna blow up in my hands" feel. they just feel cheap to me. they may be an OK rifle, i havent really shot them enough to know for sure, i just dont like their feel.
I have never owned an AR in .308, but i have shot many, and took a nice white tail with one a couple years back, really like the way it shoots, just dont have the money for a second AR at the moment lol.
