leave a dish of food out and sneak something it to knock it out...then put it in a pen...

my suggestions better than shooting it...you leave less of carbon footprint and don't have to pick up the mess and dispose of the body

im telling you just keep a bigger nastier dog in the yard...lol the pit will back off. get a presa canario or a dogo de argentino...or even better a caucasian ovtacharka

50lb pitbull will leave you alone then, lol

people who are losers that fight dogs use pits because they are small/easy to transport and be discrete about/ and pound for pound probably the toughest...

pound for pound that is...take it out of its weight class and the results are not pretty =\

here are my 3 favorite dog breeds :)

Why don't you just fix your side of the stupid fence, and quit worrying about whose fence is it? It's called neighboring fence, and it's BOTH of your responsibility to maintain it. I can assure you it won't jump over the fence anymore, since it knows you have beaten it once already. If it is really a bad and vicious dog, it would have teared you apart already when you tried to molest it with a 2x4. But it didn't

Don't shot the dog. You will end up looking like this idiot who recently shot a dog.

We had two pitbulls in our yard trying to attack our dogs. They couldnt get to them because my dogs live in a pin in our back yard. I called the police, when they got here they tazed them. They asked if we had any guns in the house. I said yes. They asked why I hadn't shot them. I told them I didn't know I could. They told me if anything is threatening you or your property on YOUR property, you can shoot it perfectly legaly. And that goes for people and animals. If it was me, that dog would be dead.

There is a slight flaw in your argument here, in the video the dog was shot at a DOG PARK, not in some ones backyard which imo is a big difference...

Plus, i don't really see how its the OP's responsibility to upgrade his fence when he already has one... i mean if he didn't have one to begin with i can understand, but considering there is one in place, you don't expect to have some one elses animal coming over un-welcomed...

Lastly, lets say for arguments sake, the pitbull comes back and maims the OP's dog... then would you feel differently if the OP decided to shoot it???

Eitherway, personally speaking, if i were the OP and heard what the animal control people said i would probably take things into my own hands... since i believe its the owners responsibility to take care of their pets and make sure both the PET and others around said pet are safe...

its kinda like you wouldn't let any known attack guard dog run around a neighborhood full of kids un-attended... same thing should be said with any large animal that could potentially do a lot of damage...

Just my 0.2 cents...
