The paws are a different story. That would scratch glass and easily acrylic.She doe that because we have the tank surrounded by screens she doesn't like the way they feel or she would be hitting the tank with her paws as well...
The petsmart setup is glass, and the tank is on a stand. That tank is very heavy, and it's elevated, so I wouldn't worry about it. The tank with water, gravel/sand, decor and fish weighs over 1,000 pounds. The only thing I would worry about is the dog scratching the tank. Even if your dog does end up scratching it, they will be small, not huge gouges.Yes makes me nervous Petsmart setup....
