im actually thinking of just useing my ehiem 2260 for bio chemistry instead of useing it to polish my tank and part of the bio. any recomandations?

i only have 2 seperate chambers in my eheim. arent all eheims ( depending on what ones ) suppose to have 4 seperate chambers?

just start with a 50% water change and tommorow and the next day till you get the filtration fixed or the tank cycled.
tank IS cycled. im not a newb. this weekend ill be running to the lfs. so what kinda bio filter stuff shhould i look at getting?
no, its not or else u wouldnt be seeing ammonia
if ur saying u dont want to get the melafix on the oscar side, then are you saying the divider has no holes and is siliconed in place?
how does the whole tank get filtered without getting melafix on both sides when u only use one filter??
why do u even have a divider? fish can usually fend for themselves and should be rehomed if they cant
ur tank is filled like 2/3 of the way tops and is divided by a water proof glass sheet, ur oscars are not in a "112", which is actually called a 110, they are in like 50 gallons tops
it doesnt matter how many gallons your tank can hold if the water isn't in it, and i know ur getting like a lid or something
best remedy is getting a hob added to ur tank and putting some quilt batting for mech, then pack it with bio like eheim substrat pro, biomax or something similar
edit: wtf i just watched ur video the blue flash (aureus) has 0 filtration on his side of the divider, he's living in pure ****

if you would have seen my vid i have posted, i already DO have a filter on the other side of the divider.... an internal filter. and i also have a bag of white cotton patting ( forgot actual name ) i use for filter media for the internal filter. the firemouths are doing good now, and tank IS cycled.... just .25 ammonia showing. doesnt mean tank isnt cycled.... it is.

its a common pleco. had it since it was an inch. now its about 4 inches. and both sides are showing .25 ammonia. and im not offended. i DO have some HOB filters should i add that to my eheim?
