  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
a little on the savage side though...

I understand fishing is a big part of japan but harvesting can be done in a more human fashion ..

The moment that guy started to cut the throat i had to close the window...
THat is disgusting. I would like to cut one of their heads off!

Isnt there like a damn japanese patrol organization or do they eat every swimming thing in the water?

Thats a crappy video. also to the above, glad there are people like that, sod it, sink 'em. Whales, sharks, anything they'll catch, while not realising its not a sustainable source. Sad irony that over much of the world sharks are prized foremost for the nearly tasteless cartilage ribbons, or "noodles," that make up their fins and are the costly key ingredient in shark-fin soup. Shame they aren't more like the people of the bahama's.

I could only watch it up to the point of them cutting the neck of that poor defensless dolphin. SAD!!!! I wished I could cut that guy's throat and see how he likes it!!!

I know people need to eat, but DOLPHINS !!!!!!! That is really f'ed up, I get pissed at all of the damn cultures that eat all kinds of exotic foods just because they are going impotent, rhinos, tigers, turtles, sharks, just give those ignorant bastards Viagra and please leave these rare animals alone!

That's pretty sad to see the dolphins end up like that and suffer! If they do have to be harvested for food, I would much rather see it done in a more humane way! In New Jersey when a single dolphin is stranded, there will be about 20 people in water trying to save it!

I hunt and am defiantely not a member of PETA, but to see that is disturbing. I understand the cultural difference in Japanese cuisine. That I can understand. What bothers me is the inhumanity. There is no way I would dream of killing an animal so callously and slowly. When hunting, the main goal is to kill an animal as quickly and humanely as possible. Knowing that my freezer will be full and I will have meat for the next year, I still feel a pang of remorse when the animal is dead.
Now that we know of the intelligence and family bonds dolphins and whales posses, I think killing them is just criminal. If the populations of animals I hunt were threatened or had higher intelligence I would stop in a heartbeat. I'd never shoot an elephant if on safari for this same reason.
I know the eating of dolphins and whales is tradition in Japan, but there is no need for it anymore. I don't see many images of starving Japanese children on T.V. This is just cultural comfort food. And one of the reasons our oceans and planet are dying. Maybe if more people boycotted Japanese goods the government would pay attention.
More Kobe beef, less dolphin and whale Japan!
