Eventually the Red Tailed catfish will escape from florida fish farms and crossbreed with the walking catfish thus producing a creature capable of eating 95% of all life on earth...think about it...LOL
 
Crap, you kidding me? A cross like that will produce some freakin' swimming walking non-stop eating always hungry scary lookin' ALIEN!!!

This is true. It is the fact that someone over their should have done something, and the people that could make the difference didn't. A lot of people aren't taught the importance, nor the impact of what they are doing, which doesn't help also.

It's not so much the inevitability of extinction, but the extremely rapid removal from the gene pool of a viable population of creatures. And that 90% number was not calculated in a way that justifies your use of it (if indeed it was calculated at all).

Extinction should never be viewed as an inevitable event within our short lifetimes for any species of creatures. Especially those that were apparently thriving 100 years ago (which in evolutionary terms is very little time at all).
