And, what are we suppose to do? All I can say is, split them.

i guess i dont get your question ..

i didnt ask anything .. just showing how a pair can turn on each other at any time ... they have lived together for over a year ..

its been more then a year .. and i think he is just trying to get her to drop eggs ... i dont have another tank to put her into .. and im going to let them deal with it ..

if her kills her ... i guess thats the way things are .. but if i can heal her up and maybe get them to get along at some point ... that would be great ..

i wanted a breeding pair if i could get them .. but just the male would be ok with me as well ..

Might as well toss it at the LFS if you think it's going to kill her. C'mon, be responsible for a fish that you bought and put it together.

people use feeders ... and thats ok .. because you call them feeder fish .. but really .. they are buying goldfish .. which is probably the most kept fish in the world .. no one ever complains about that ... but when i let nature take its course im a bad guy .. that makes a ton of since ..

how about you go flame someone else who had one fish eat another fish .. and tell them how they are a bad fish keeper because it happened

Why not get a divider while she heals up?

I'm not trying to bag on you, but how is nature taking its course when you're keeping a hurt fish in a place where it can't properly get away? In nature, I'm pretty sure a hurt fish that wasn't ready to breed would be able to get a little further away than say 8 feet. She would be able to hide, maybe find a different mate, or possibly get eaten. That would be nature. Locking two combatants together in your tank is not letting nature take its course.

Just my $0.02.
