but the price of that headache you could've bought another and still be cheaper than any other cannisters close to its size and gph. and have spare parts and be able to hook up without changing anything. new everything for the price of some of the others o rings.

While that is true, to me the extra price is worth a better product and piece of mind.

Its a social experiment. I rent, have old carpet and have renter's insurance.

Haha I guess there'll always be someone to try and rain on a parade.

BTW, I never used that flimsy spray bar. I just used the 90deg elbow and let the water shoot right out from there

I didn't like how the hose is larger, > 5/8" and the spraybar is like 3/8" maybe smaller its a planted tank so I want to diffuse flow if I can. Unlike my african tank with 1" jets spraying 300+ gph

Fortunately the tank is on a 3 tier metal stand, in the middle tier. So there are vertical angle irons on the backside of the tank where I can ziptie the hose and not have to use suction cups in the tank. Its secure and the spraybar doesn't move when I service the canister.

I didnt like the barrel nuts that are supposed to hold the hose on there isn't enough length to the hose barb for this to work. I went with hoseclamps. Everything is good now.

Super sneaky camouflaged plumbing.

I would've really preferred a pair of fluvals but money's too tight. I'm expecting a daughter any day now. I Cant just tell the wife "sorry I just spent $400 on fish filters, it's okay you'll only be off work for 8 weeks without pay" haha.
