DON'T buy Marineland Stealth Pro heaters!!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well just look at it carefully and if you hear a noise like air bubbles (or like your bubble strip is out of the water making that hissing noise). TAKE THE HEATER OUT RIGHT AWAY CAUSE THAT'S THE PROBLEM. That is exactly what mine did and i started to see the little white line of crap coming out of the crack in the seaming of the heater. So i ripped it out of the tank and i saw some more white stuff slowing dissipating but coming out. I do have one question What is the white stuff coming out of the heater? if anyone knows?

Insulation? Melted...

yikes, that sucks (N) for your next heater try the elite brand ive always used them for over 15 years salt and fresh waer, neever had problems

oh alright just wondering cause idk how my fish will be in the morning i added some fresh water and i hope they will be ok.

Whoa!! Mine just stopped working entirely. I contacted marineland to about this. this product as a whole just is just sub-par. Im gonna call them tomorrow!! sorry for your loss

Yeah i will call them tomorrow during my second college class or something because this is not right. I've heard mixed reviews about this heater. And people have said its great, others have said it sucked. So now im going with it sucks. I never seem to have good luck with heaters.

I currently have six. Some work and some don't. 50% failure rate. I was sent a replacement by Marineland and it burned out within 24 hours. When I spoke with the gal on the phone and reported this failure, I could sense the fatigue and frustration in her voice. They must be deluged with reports of defective heaters. Even those that appear to be operational exhibit sluggish performance. I am currently using a new Odyssea 500 watt and so far it appears promising.

its kinda ironic... I just want onto marineland's website. what do i see as the home page...
Marineland Stealth Heaters, "A superior heating w/ precision"!!! :p

Thanks for the report. I need a better heater (got one that stays at 78 that came with my tank...I want it at 80). Now I know not to buy Marineland.
