I think pufferfish123 should have started this thread in The Lounge. The issue he raised isn't a "fish issue" but rather an "ethics issue".
This is not in any way to justify the attacks on pufferfish123.

There is no place for MFKing anti-veganites on MFK.
Death to all anti-vegans/antivegetites!

Tony60, I just reread this thread from the beginning and even though it is a touchy subject I think that it as not handled as badly as you seem too. Pufferfish is vegan but he did not come out preachy or slamming us omnivores, and while several people stated their fondness for flesh I also don't see people making personal attacts on him or even dissing vegetarians in general. Frankly I find this suprising, web forums tend to invite stupid hyperbole.
My comment as to the definition of murder neither supported nor discouraged the eating of pets, rather it was prompted by my fondness for the proper usage of the language.

I do agree with Shekes that this would be a better subject for the lounge than here so I am moving it there. It is actually pretty dead by now anyway.

To all who participated here I do thank you for the level of restraint that you showed. It would have been easy to use this thread as a way to needle one another in a less than friendly fashion. Luckily we all seem to see that differing opinions are part of what makes this site a nice place to visit.
