btw, furry animals would've been off limit for me as a teen. Burning too
 
"Boys will be boys" is the dumbest way to justify what they did. I'm not sure I knew ANYONE when I was younger that was enough of a mal-adjusted, weak, coward to do this kind of thing to animals. No excuses.

Dont get me wrong. I dont agree with it for a second, be it snake or rodent. I dont know how much snakes cost, but I can see kids maybe spending a couple of $/£ on a hamster or mouse or whatever. But I dont see spending all that money for cruelty's sake. but if someone is twisted enough to do it in the 1st place, who knows?

That's weak, and sick. I'm seventeen, I've been around animals all my life, and I've never intentionally needlessly caused the death of an animal.

It's not even like they were hunting for food. They just decided to plug s Snake full of nails because they're retarded.

Unfortunately there will always be a very small minority that do get some kind of pleasure out of causing suffering. There will also be those that pull stunts like these exactly to get a reaction like this. The snake may have been dead already.

Yes, we call that minority psychopaths. Harming animals is one of the most common warning flags with troubled youth. Jeffrey Dahmer was all about it as a kid, for example. Almost all other serial killers started out this way.

And I'd imagine what they did was illegal, yes. Animal cruelty is animal cruelty whether or not it's fuzzy. I've half a mind to post this over on ball-python.net and watch it blow up.

Again, these kids should be in jail or, if not old enough, some kind of juvenile institution. These kind of kids should be, at the very least, observed.
 
In my opinion so much wasn't said, for all we honestly now they could have A. Found it like that or B. Been a wild snake. I'm going with B.

So that makes it OK? IDC where the snake came from--if it wasn't self defense (hah, look at the picture, right) it's cruelty.
