Sounds like a plan is coming together and you may actually get somewhere with getting independant.
Glad to hear your social worker is meeting you. Make sure you talk in private so you don't have to feel pressured into saying things that aren't true about your living conditions and the abuse.

What you wrote about your arguement with your grandmother confirmed what I thought, they just have you around because of the free money. All those threats and then when you actually firmly threaten to move she decides to let you stay out of the goodness in her heart. Yeah, okay. She doesn't want her cash machine to leave.

That's messed up. A ton of places offer free wifi though if you ever truely truely need internet. MFK ain't urgent but that job hunt or to look up something, those places could come in handy
 
dude...no offense you seem like a nice guy and all...but grow some balls..go out get a job...doesnt need to be a good one...every paycheck you get put 75% of it into saving...and use the other 15% for necessary things....stop smoking...its hurting your health and your wallet...live with your grandparents until you save up enough money to live on your own...i also advise you to sell all the crap you dont need...sell your tanks untill your out on ur own and have a decent job with some money saved up...you can always buy a used tank for cheap off cl...

all this is coming from a 17 year old...think about your future...maybe you should go find a girlfriend...maybe she can talk some sense into you so you dont ruin your life

If he eats and moniters his blood sugar than he should be fine. issues arrise when people do not monitor their blood sugar, dont go to the doc and dont follow a diet. its a very manageable diese that u are NOT causing it to act up

Okay...I didnt read through this whole thread, but Im going to just say this. I dont know anything about your situation LBF, and Im sorry. Heres my .02 on diabetes though.

There are two kinds. Type 1 and Type 2. Type 1 is juvenile onset diabetes...this is what I have, and they dont know why you get it really. It is NOT curable, and is NOT related to diet or lifestyle. You get it because you had a bad roll of the die. It requires frequent blood testing and insulin injections to control. (I take at least four shots a day.) Type 2 is oftentimes completely reversible just by correcting your diet and lifestyle habits. You get it mainly from bad diet, and not exercising enough. Some of it can also be hereditary. In only extreme cases will you need to take insulin shots, and some Type 2 diabetics dont even have to take pills. That being said...many factors affect your blood glucose levels. Stress can be one of these...Stress alone however would not be enough to kill someone unless they already had very poor management.

Sorry if this is completely off topic, or if other diabetics have already commented on this. Hope things get better LBF, life is short, focus on whats good.

Sorry for the double post but...whoh. Girlfriend? If anything they talk sense out of you. And...will undoubtedly add to your expenditures. One thing at a time...job...fish...place to live...food...girlfriend. :D
 
well i and my grandparents talked, i may be staying here but wont have to help as much and got the internet back to. after this weekend there will not be much to do anymore tell winter ( besides mowing and whatnot ) so im not gunna be relied as much as i useally was, which is a good thing. so there not mad and im not mad anymore. so i will prolly stay and gunna talk to my social worker tomm about helping finding me a job.
