I hope for the best for you I really do, but I think it's ridiculous that a thread like this garners so much attention. I see so many Noobs asking questions they get hundreds of looks and like 7 to 8 responses and half of them say use google or the search function. I thought the primary goal of this site was to help those in the hobby who need help with the hobby.

couple of things

1. It's the loungue which is for non fish related topics and gets way more action then you would think. Easily the busiest section on the site

2. Like i mentioned somewhere in this thread, alot of people view this specific member as a "lil brother" that we often pick on but always try to help too. I doubt if it were any other random member it'd garner as much attenton.

So yeah you're right that it's sad that some people don't get alot of posts for fish related questions but after the questions been answered, no need for multiple people to repeat

True but people have different perspectives on fish compatibility and husbandry and most don't respond not because they don't have an opinion, but that it's not self serving to respond. This isn't directed at all of MFK just it seems like things here are changing. Plus the OP's been responded to and most of what's been in this thread is repitition of the same answer said in a million different ways. Also sometimes people create drama to garner such attention. I know cause I used to be like that. It took people ignoring me for me to focus on the problem at hand. I was enabled by the constant attention to keep making the same mistakes I had to look inward and find my true answer on my own. I just hope that's not what people are unintentionally doing to the OP. The path to enlightment is walked alone for no enlightment can come when someone carries you. Just my opinion.

i just read the entire thread and i completely agree

it all comes down to doing things yourself and maintaning the proper attitude toward the situation at hand (no matter what the situation is)


the thing ive noticed about these types of threads is that i have taken it upon myself to do research and learn more about fish so i can help those with questions pertaining to the hobby

With perseverence, he's now GIVING some sound fish advice to newbies in the hobby. I'm proud that he's come this far with his condition. The haters can continue to hate but personally, I will continue to help and guide LFB in any way I can. To a lot of people, he may seem a little slow on the uptake, but in his heart, he's actually a good person.

thanks all for the kind comments! and this weekend i will be filling my tank up all the way finally! and a new vid comming to. and boy today my granny woke me up at 7 am cause we had to get the yard done ( and i wasnt in a arguementive mood either suprissingly ) just got done with the yard now...5 hours straight work!

ya some may remember me from the past ( dont think there are much members now a days from when i began this site, if there are and you remember me plz say something ) back then i had alot of mistakes in the hobby like two 10 gallons with convicts a blood parrot and a male jack, then my 29 from when i was living with my uncle and had alot of good sized growing cichlids ( and had an awsome pair of firemouths, everyone was telling me to ditch my other cichlids and keep the firemouths ) and quite a feew mistakes to name a few. just look through my threads. now all i have is my 112 gallon filtered with a eheim 2260 and soon a magnum 350 ( if i can get the dang thing to work that is! ) with 2 oscars, pair of blk cons, and a pink female con somewhere in there and for dithers 4 black skirts 5 or so platys and 2 swordtails..... ( that may be overstocked but with good filter and whatnot itll manage )

Why don't you like the social worker? Do you not feel he is doing a good job,or is it a personality conflict?

You can request another person be assigned to your case. If you do not like the person you have now,they may not be able to help you. Get the right person to help,and it will make a world of difference.

^this. He has come a long way since I joined MFK. How much he has grown as a fishkeeper and a person is a testiment to some of the people on this site who have persevered with trying to help him.
He just needs a little more help than most to get things done but that is no excuse to hate him or make snide remarks about his intelligence.
