Don't trust featherfins

mine is, by aquarium standards, full grown and has yet to try and claim any part of the tank for himself.
 
Sad lesson I learned yesterday, where I lost my 2 year old tiger pleco to aggression from my featherfin catfish :( He even tore my convict to shreds while in the same tank.

So yeah, if you're considering a featherfin catfish (synodontis euruptus), I'd consider them superb for malawi or larger cichlids; maybe, just maybe at a push in a community with medium fast shoaling fish, otherwise take note!

Beautiful fish though, and can definitely be a showpiece in the right settings!

I have two growing featherfins of different gender in two different tanks.They are as friendly as can be but are very territorial.These are the pair I got after our very large adult died.I haven't had any trouble with them as most fish stay away from them except for the Plecoptera in each tank who could care less
