Sounds like someone is asking for something from someone that didn't ask for their services LOL,... Duh if you asked my son if you could clean MY fish tank and then you did it.. You would not be coming back to my house.
Ignorance of the owner and their wishes doesn't constitute them being grateful to you for something they didn't ask for or want. Sorry dude that was your mistake. And it wasn't your property. Or your pets. Sorry about your bad luck. That was not her bad though

You've got it a bit twisted, which is my fault for not providing more details. David (My friend) claimed it to be his tank. I mean it's in HIS ROOM, he bought the fish, and he feeds the fish. I don't see how I made a mistake. If David told me it was her tank I would ask her, and only do it with her permission. Instead, David says it's his tank. He still insists that it's his tank whenever I speak to him, so go figure.
Now say this was really her fish, as you have come to believe. It's funny, had this been her dog being abused and I had called animal services (Essentially the same concept) you would probably be applauding me. But since it's fish, you're telling me I'm in the wrong. Who are we to value one life to another?
Edit: And about me implying she is dumb, I was completely polite about it, believe me. I'm not one disrespect my elders. Please don't make negative assumptions about me like that.
Anyways, that's all I'm going to say. Thanks to everyone else for the kind words.
Personally, I think you did the right thing. You saw fish suffering, and you helped them out. You also did the POLITE thing. I applaude you on that. If it were me, I would have gone the ewurm way. That's just me. I CAN'T STAND IT, when someone says that their right, they know everything on the subject, AND insist they MUST have more expirience than you, (in this case) because they are older. I mean, I know people who WORK in fish depts. in stores whom are TWICE my age, and I know more about the fish in THIER DEPARTMENT than them. I don't mind educating them, but it's the ones that think they know more JUST because they are older. Drives me INSANE. ESPECIALLY whan they are WRONG. How big were the commons?? I would like to CONGRATULATE you on the fact that you did all that cleaning for them without even a thank you, and got lectured for it. WoW. Nice.

I just stated the facts based on your post. I apologise for implying anything negative.. Yes maybe it would have been more positive if you had stated the whole story.. As for judgement and negativity the door swings both ways
Look what you've just stated about the dogs, you are treated the way you treat others. Ewurms way would have been the wrong person to call a whore or slap and still because she had the Balls or Gall which ever you choose to stand up to you she is the one you maim not your friend who should be the one educated. In my opinion.
If your looking for applaud for this i will give none. Due to now it looks like your asking for it. The dog theory is completely different or you would have called the animal control
If it is the same you will be on the phone shortly with animal control. To report the mistreatment of these pets. I believe you are a good care giver to fish and a proper person for it. I was not their so i have no idea how she percieved your Politeness.. I have never had this happen to me.... I believe it's honey or sandpaper.. You try shovin honey in my face i'll eat it. but as for sand paper sorry.
Obviously you failed in bringing your knowledge to this lady in a way that she would accept it kindly.. If you want to go anywhere with her type
you need to learn how to constructively communicate your knowledge to her in a way that it is more like honey than sandpaper. Only then will i applaud your effort. Why? Because those fish still suffer and you and i are going back and forth over it not you and her. And still she is uneducated due to us blowing smoke on this forum about the stubborn.My suggestion find that way of communicating to her and utilize it so that the fish do not suffer longer than they have to. My apologies once again for the earlier post in which i posted ngatively towards you. My goal was only to push for you to look at it in a different view.

Unfortunately the animal services (And evidently most people) couldn't care less about a fish, which was my point
. If you want proof look at how many Oscars are for sale in a Petco. Compare the amount of Oscars sold to the amount of suitable aquariums for Oscars sold, and it's obvious the salespeople are condoning the abuse of these fish. If someone at a dog shelter was condoning the abuse of the dogs, I gurantee you animal services would show up.
I would also like to correct myself. Since it's David's fish, I gave him the advise, not her. David told her the advise I gave him and that we cleaned the tank when she got home, and she basically told us that it didn't need to be cleaned and we don't know anything about fish. She also said that it is her tank, which David laughed at and said it's actually his tank.
Another thing I failed to mention is David's mom is an alcoholic, and is rarely of sane mind.
I don't need to worry about the fish for long, because David is probably getting a bigger tank. We've been looking in Pennysavers and BargainTraders for good deals.
