Ive had some poor luck with previous fish, so im gunna keep my tank and when this fish gets bigger ill upgrade

Well you've picked a great fish. Senegals (bichirs in general really) are pretty damn hardy.

At max size it'll need at least a 40g breeder or larger would be best. (some people say 29g, I respectfully disagree.)

If correct water changes are maintained, bichirs don't mind 30 gallons
Same with 40 gallons and oscars

Oscar, 55 minimum but better in a 75. 100, certainly for a pair. They all look great, just keep on top of the water quality (especially with the aquariums being so small).

yea we I am pretty sure we are all planning on getting bigger tanks when we get out of school. I graduate in may and looking into at least a 55 for my green terror

hmm Meagan redhead from Brooklyn. May know her but its not ringing a bell. Does she go to Alfred state or Alfred university. If it is state than I have probably seen her around the school is not very big.

Thanks! i bought the oscar from a LSP so it's prolly not wild he does have some pretty awesome color on him though

i used to have him in a 15 gallon tank and like mcgratda said already the school only allows us to have a max of 20 gallon tanks in our rooms but i guess thier looking the other way on my tank its 35 gallons and i'll deff get a bigger one after im out of school
