dose this look like hole in head

The #1 most important thing is clean water.

What are your nitrates? Be sure you have shaken reagent bottle #2 violently before testing.

Are you sure that you are testing nitrate correctly?
You have to shake the #2 bottle for at least 30 seconds to bring the solvent into solution.

Add ten drops of #1 and invert the tube 3-4 times to mix the liquid. Then after shaking the #2bottle for 30 seconds, add ten drops and shake the tube for 60 seconds. Let it sit for 5 minutes, then read the results. Just adding the drops will cause a false low reading.

Look at the thread on MFK for treating hexamita with epsom salt. You can also treat with metronidazole as a bath, but first you need to get your water quality taken care of.

I have an Eartheater with the same issue..

I've got the water params at 0.0.5 and I always do water changes, with a variety of foods. No other EA's affected by it, but now that I know you can treat with Epsom salt, I am going to start doing that.

Metro is a bit pricey. (I have some, but I will try cheap route first)

Good luck!

Make sure you read the article, it's given in food (epsom salt.)
Personally, I would apply the metro directly to the sores. Also be sure you are administering the nitrate test correctly. @mshill

I've been doing those tests for years. I def know they are working.. I get new tests every 4-6 months as I test my water daily. haha. Each tank has a clipboard like a hospital patient.

Do you know where I can find that article on here?

And what do you mean directly to the sores? I have the tabs your crush and treat the water with. I also have Oxolinic Acid that I use for my koi, but divvying up an amount for a small fish will not be easy, and that stuff is lethal and not very forgiving.
