Really? Not much hope? Really?
Prazi pro worked wonders on a couple of rays I cured. Even a couple of bass to.

Op also said the fish is eating, so, soaking the fishes food in garlic extracts can work for internal parasites.

Are you trying to argue with me? I'm not sure what you're trying to say here. The garlic won't work if the fish isn't eating either. I haven't tried the Epsom salt treatment, but I did read the thread I mentioned. I'm just passing info to a fellow mfk'er.

Petco had nothing for internal parasites so I ordered some prazipro and will feed pellets soaked garlic extract or epsom salt if I can't find the garlic extract. Will keep you guys updated. Thanks again for the help!

I never heard of using garlic to kill IP before, but it's worth a shot. I have heard of using it to get finicky eaters to eat. It helps give them an appetite. What I've read, and correct me if I'm wrong if a fish has IP the only way to cure it is to medicate their food. I'm not sure if it's contagious. Good luck! :)

Johnny, garlic works GREAT to kill IPs but you're right that it has to be ingested and if a fish doesn't eat it makes it a little tricky. There are Garlic products that I've used that are added directly to the water and in a few days I've had fish eat that wouldn't eat because of IPs and the garlic in the food cleaned them out. Check out Kents "Garlic Xtreme"--good stuff. 

Op has already said that the fish is still eating, so, the crushed garlic, garlic extracts and garlic extreme will work.

And if it isn't eating, prazi pro works good for IP as a cure and a preventive.

Quick update. Normally my gt eats pellets (hikari gold) but isn't a big fan of the hikari staple. I have soaked the pellets in the Epsom salt and distiller water solution and he just spits them out. Is it possible for me the soak thawed tilapia in the solution? I know I'm not supposed to give protein, but it's the only thing I know for sure he will eat. Suggestions?

Will he eat a nonsoaked pellet? I can't imagine him not liking the flavor of 3% Epsom salt. I don't think it would even have a flavor. I don't know if much would soak into tilapia. So, I'm not sure how effective it would be.

He does eat hikari gold but, then there's sometimes when he spits them out....I've been soaking the tilapia in the epsom salt and he ate it. I'm hoping it helps. Either way, I have some prazi pro on the way in the mail and from what I have read, it works very well.
