Dovii and Managuense??

all depends on sex of the 2 fish i have 2 dovii/jaguar crosses crazy fish the mom and dad lived together fine with no problems but ive found it almost impossible to keep males in the dovii jag family to live together unless the tanks were huge. and also where are all these huge dovii cause i see people with some huge tanks and seems like there fish get no bigger than the fish in smaller tanks. not advocating smaller tanks just want to see the huge dovii out there
 
You can put a Black Labeo in with your Dovii. Most people on here dont have experience with them, they are insanly tough customers. Those who have kept them know what Im talking about. They get as large as a Dovii's sometimes over 2 feet long and are agressive as hell. Ive kept one with Devils, Jags, Leporinus, the Labio is ALWAYS king of his tank. They dont have teeth but when you see one attack another fish you will realize why they dont need them. I tried to introduce a 12 inch Texas cichlid a few months ago and my labio killed it by dealing it a massive blow somewhat like a torpedo out of nowhere right into the lave rock it was trying to take refuge under. It killed a slightly larger Jag in much the same fasion. If anything can be kept with a Dovii this is it.

I see what you're talking about...They are very mean. I have a 13" jordani catfish (clumbian shark) that is very agressive also, and beats the hell out of my fish. They are very shy at first but when they get big, they become monsters.
