Dovii color question

My pair is in a 285gal, I would venture to guess that your male is probably in need of a larger tank. I had my pair for the longest time in a 120gal square, 4x2x2, it worked real well. If you are unable to get a larger tank, then put the dovii in the 75 alone. The only thing that would concern me, is IME once a fish is comfortable being alone, it soon becomes use to it and doesnt play well with others if you decide to give him a friend. ;)

Well I've been thinking about that for a long time. All the other fish are dithers and added color. My dovii is my pride and joy, he'd be an awsome wet pet. The clownkife it's going away so that will open up a new territory or just make his larger. Thats the last competition hes got. Does confidence in a fish effect coloring also?

I kept my Dovii pair in a 120 (4x2x2) as well. It worked well till he was in the 10" range but you could tell he needed a longer tank.

I'm trying to post a pic but the app tells me I'm not signed in. Can I upload pictures from my phone?

So massivore, talapia, and shrimp are its only diet? IMO that is not a healthy diet. Feed that guy some quality pellets. NLS, Omega1, Hikari, XTreame, There are several pellet foods out there that are far better for you Dovii than what your feeding.

Massivore is made by hikari lol

Also curious why many members feel massivore and frozen fresh fish would not be a healthy diet for a carnivorous fish? When I read the ingreadiants for massivore and carnivore pellets, they seem to have alot of essential nutrients like cichlid gold does! Also in the wild wouldnt a
Dovii eat only fish? Where would it get all the other ingreadiants from? Not saying your wrong Madness just would like to know?

Every three days my dovii gets prawn or white fish fillets, inbetween massivore or food sticks. He wants the fresh fish so dam bad it would now take some time to get him back on cichlid gold lol. Another thing I was wondering is the market shrip have alot of sodium, how does this affect fish?
